Who is Gucci Mane?

Gucci Mane is an American rapper born in 1980. His journey began in 2007 when he founded 1017 Records. This talented man released many mixes and teamed up with Drake, Lil Wayne, Mariah Carey and Young Thug.  This 37 year old artist grew up with his paternal grandmother since his mom was still going to college. He spent a lot of his time, when young, trying to understand the Bible. He was not that close to his dad, who only visited him irregularly. He and his brother started using their Christmas money to get cocaine while in the eighth grade. That’s not the best way to grow up.

Gucci lost a considerable amount of weight while behind bars. He did find a new relationship with food and here are its key factors:

  • Never indulge yourself with sauces
  • Never stop eating
  • Your dinner has to be your own experience
  • Go for several types of cuisines

  • Eat like everyone is looking

This amazing rapper opted for a diet rigid on carbs, coupled with a very intensive workout regimen. This man changed his lifestyle from booze and drugs to a healthy and sensational lifestyle. Being in prison opened up his mind towards a positive life. He had to eat better and work out more.

This 50 pound weight loss did not happen overnight. What is unexpected is where it happened! The rapper explains that his weight never let him wear the clothes he liked to. He had a weakness for Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Hugo Boss and he wanted to buy them.

This man turned the prison experience to a healthy journey where he was eating healthy, drinking a lot of water, exercising and reading. After two years in that facility, he came out a different man. Now, he continues his exercising regimen with his girlfriend, and they do it together as a couple. So many studies showed the positive results obtained when one exercises with a partner. The rapper believed in a no-carb diet. When you starve your body from carbohydrates, you oblige it to turn into a different way for burning energy. So your body will start burning the fat.
